It is attached to a high fired, ceramic base in which a pin frog is attached with epoxy and sealed with Slate Sealer to bring out the natural beauty of the stone. Just keep the water level high enough to cover the kenzan. As with any cut flowers, florists recommend cutting the stem diagonally under running water.
